Welcome to TEEC

The connection of Taiwan Experimental Education Center with Jenaplan education started when we invited Jaap Meijer, Janny Bolink and Sofie Strobe from the Netherlands Jenaplan Association (Nederlandse Jenaplan Vereniging) to conduct a summer school program that explores mixed-aged education in 2017.

We raised an idea to start a side project to publish a Jenaplan handbook when we found that most of the training materials and notes were translated separately by different colleagues due to the time constraint. We believe that building a consistency in translation, delivering a compilation of training materials and notes would be beneficial for future training.

We found that Jenaplan education seems to be a new pedagogy for readers in Sinosphere since we can't find reference in Mandarin language with a few exceptions of articles in academic journals.This handbook is also appended with some slides and YouTube video presented and Q & As raised during the summer school. This book has two sections, the first section is about history and philosophy of Jenaplan pedagogy while the second section illustrates educational practices of Jenaplan school.
